Frequently Asked Questions
You've got questions, and we have the answers.
What is a roll-off dumpster?
A roll-off dumpster is a large, rectangular steel container used to collect and remove trash and debris. It has an open top, which makes for easier loading during and after indoor and outdoor cleanups, demolition, and renovations. It’s called a “roll-off” dumpster because it rolls off the back of a delivery truck when it’s dropped off.
What size dumpsters can I rent?
We offer 10-, 20-, 30- and 40-yard dumpster rentals.
What items are not allowed in a roll-off dumpster?
Never dispose of hazardous or flammable materials in your waste dumpster rental. If you are disposing of heavy waste such as concrete or dirt, please choose a 10 yard or 20-yard roll-off dumpster.
Where is the best place to put a roll-off dumpster?
Find a flat area that has at least 3 feet of clearance around each side of the dumpster, at least 22 feet of unobstructed height, and 34 feet of unobstructed room in front for a service pickup. If a paved driveway is being used, consider covering the driveway or putting wood underneath your rental dumpster to reduce the risk of damage.

What is crushed concrete used for in Houston construction projects?

How much mulch do I need for flower beds and landscaping?

What is the difference between natural mulch and dyed mulch?
Natural mulch is untreated hardwood that breaks down over time and supports soil health. Dyed mulch, like red or black, is colored with long-lasting colorant to maintain a defined look while still providing weed control and moisture retention.

What demolition work does EZ Waste handle in Houston?
We take on residential demolitions, commercial teardowns, and concrete removal across Greater Houston. That can mean anything from removing a garage or small structure to clearing a commercial site and hauling off heavy slab and foundation material.
Do I need a demolition permit in Houston?
Often, yes. Permitting depends on what’s being removed, where the property is located, and what utilities are tied into the structure. We help you understand what’s required and coordinate the work so the project stays compliant from day one.
How long does a demolition project take?
Timelines depend on scope and site conditions. A straightforward residential teardown can move quickly once approvals and utilities are handled. Larger commercial projects typically require more planning, staged removal, and coordinated haul-offs to keep the site safe and controlled.
What happens to the debris after demolition?
We haul off debris as the job progresses so the site stays workable. Materials like concrete and metal are separated when possible and routed through recycling channels, keeping more material out of landfills and helping control disposal costs.
Can you handle dumpsters and cleanup during demolition?
Yes. Because we run our own roll-off fleet and disposal operations, we can provide dumpsters, swaps, haul-off, and site cleanup as part of the same plan. It keeps communication simple and prevents cleanup from becoming the bottleneck.
What materials do your hauling services handle?
EZ Waste hauls concrete, dirt, asphalt, and other heavy construction materials across the Greater Houston area. Our hauling services support excavation work, demolition projects, paving jobs, and site preparation where large volumes of material need to be moved efficiently.
Do you provide hauling for construction and excavation sites?
Yes. Contractors and developers rely on our hauling services to remove excess soil, broken concrete, and pavement from active job sites. We coordinate pickups and transport so crews can keep working without debris slowing the project down.
Can you haul materials for residential projects?
Absolutely. In addition to commercial work, we also provide hauling for residential projects such as driveway removals, yard grading, and small demolition jobs where heavy material needs to be cleared from the property.
Where do the materials go after they are hauled away?
Materials are transported to approved disposal or recycling facilities. When possible, concrete and asphalt are processed for reuse, helping reduce landfill waste and support recycled construction materials.
Do you offer scheduled hauling or ongoing service?
Yes. We can provide one-time hauling for a specific job or set up scheduled haul-offs for larger projects that generate material over time. This helps keep the site organized and prevents debris from building up during construction.
